சந்திரன் மூன்றாம் பிறை Third day crescent moon

சகல பாவம் போக்கும், செல்வம் பெருக்கும் மூன்றாம் பிறை தரிசனம்.

சிறப்பு: சந்திர தரிசனம்

வானில் தோன்றும் மூன்றாம் பிறை நிலவைத் தரிசிப்பதையே, 'பிறை காணுதல்' என்கின்றனர். பஞ்சாங்கத்திலும், காலண்டரிலும் மூன்றாம் பிறையை மக்கள் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக 'சந்திர தரிசனம்' என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது.

சிவன், பார்வதி, விநாயகப் பெருமான் போன்ற தெய்வங்கள் சூடும் இந்தப் பிறை தெய்வீக சின்னமாகும். காமம், வெகுளி, மயக்கம் இந்த மூன்று குணங்களையும் கடந்தவன் முக்தி அடையலாம் என்பதை நினைவுபடுத்துவதற்கே பெரியவர்கள் இதைக் காணவேண்டும் என்று கூறினார்கள்.

மூன்றாம் பிறை உருவான கதை :

ஒரு முறை தட்சனின் சாபத்தால், தனது பதினாறு கலைகளையும் இழந்தான் சந்திரன். தனது கலைகளை மீண்டும் பெறுவதற்காக சந்திரன் சிவனை நினைத்து தியானம் செய்தார். தட்சனின் சாபத்தால் உருகும் சந்திர பகவானின் தேக நிலை குறித்து மிகவும் வருத்தம் அடைந்தனர் அவரின் இருபத்தேழு நட்சத்திர மனைவியர். உடனே தங்களின் தந்தையான தட்சனிடம் சென்று சாப விமோசனம் அளிக்கும்படி வேண்டினர் . 

தட்சனோ தனது அறியாமையால், அளித்த சாபத்தால் தனது புண்ணியம் அனைத்தும் குறைந்துவிட்டது என்றும், தன்னால் சாப விமோசனம் அளிக்க முடியாது என்றும் கூறினார். இறுதியில் 27 நட்சத்திர மனைவியரும் சந்திரனும் சிவ பெருமானை நினைத்து தவம்புரிந்தனர்.  சந்திரனின் தவத்தை மெச்சிய சிவபெருமான் தன் தலைமுடியில், ‘மூன்றாம் பிறையாக’ அமரும் பேறுபெற்றார்.

சுறுசுறுப்போடு  அதேநேரம் சிறுகச் சிறுக வளர்ந்தால் முழுப்பலனையும் அடையமுடியும் என்னும் கருத்தை வலியுறுத்துகின்றது இந்த பிறை. இதை வைத்துத்தான் எண்பது வயது நிறைவுற்றவர் களை 'ஆயிரம் பிறை கண்டவர்' என்று அவருக்குச் சதாபிஷேகம் செய்து கொண்டாடுகின்றோம். 

பலன்கள் :

அமாவசையை அடுத்து வரும் மூன்றாம் நாளில் சந்திர தரிசனம் காண்பவர்களுக்கு ஞாபக சக்தி அதிகரிக்கும். மனக்குழப்பம் நீங்கும். கண் பார்வை தெளிவாகும். செவ்வாய், வெள்ளி மற்றும் சனிக்கிழமை களில் வரும் மூன்றாம் பிறை மிகவும் விசேஷமான ஒன்றாகும்.

குறிப்பாக சித்திரை, வைகாசி மாதங்களில் வரும் இப்பிறையைக் கண்டால் ஓர் ஆண்டு சந்திர தரிசனம் செய்த பலன் கிடைக்கும். கார்த்திகை, மார்கழி மாதங்களில் வரும் மூன்றாம் பிறையைக் கண்டால் சகல பாவங்களும் தொலையும்.

நான்காம் பிறையை ஏன் பார்க்கக் கூடாது ? 

ஒரு முறை விநாயகப் பெருமான் சந்திரலோகத்துக்கு விஜயம் செய்தார். கையில் கொழுக்கட்டையுடன் வந்திருந்த விநாயகரைக் கண்டு ஏளனம் செய்த சந்திரன் மீது விநாயகர் மிகுந்த கோபம் அடைந்தார். அன்று பிள்ளையார் சதுர்த்தி வேறு. கோபமுற்ற கணபதி, ‘சதுர்த்தியில் உன்னைப் பார்ப்பவர்கள் வீண்பழிக்கு ஆளாவார்கள்!’ என்று சபித்தார். 

மனம் வருந்திய சந்திரனோ,  தான் அறியாது செய்த தவற்றை மன்னித்து சாப விமோசனம் தரும்படி கேட்டுக்கொண்டான். விநாயகர் சந்திரனை மன்னித்தார்,  ஆனால், மூன்றாம்பிறையைப் பார்ப்பவர்களுக்கு மட்டும் முழு மகிழ்ச்சி பொங்கும் என்று அருளினார்.

நான்காம் பிறையைப் பார்த்ததால் வரும் கெடு பலனை எப்படித் தவிர்க்கலாம்? 

இதற்கும் புராண காலத்தில் கிடைத்த ஒரு தீர்வைப் பார்ப்போம். ஒருமுறை சதுர்த்தியில் வரும் நான்காம் பிறையைப் பார்த்து வீண்பழிக்கு ஆளானார் கண்ணன்.  இதற்குப் பரிகாரமாக, அடுத்த திங்களில் (அடுத்த மாதத்தில்) அமாவாசையை அடுத்து வரும் மூன்றாம் நாளில் சந்திர தரிசனம் செய்ததோடு கணபதியையும் வேண்டி பழியில் இருந்துவிடுபட்டார்.

காலை வேளை பிரம்ம முகூர்த்தமாகும். மாலை வேளை விஷ்ணு முகூர்த்தமாகும். எனவே, அந்த வேளையில் சந்திர தரிசனம் செய்து, வீட்டில் விளக்கேற்றி வழிபட்டால் செல்வம் பெருகும்.

திருமணம் ஆனவர்கள் தம்பதி சமேதராக சந்திர தரிசனம் செய்யலாம். திருமணம் ஆகாதவர்கள் பெற்றோருடன் சேர்ந்து மூன்றாம் பிறையை தரிசிக்கலாம். இதனால் குடும்ப ஒற்றுமை பெருகும்.

 Special: Lunar Vision

 The third crescent moon in the sky is called the 'Crescent View'.  The third crescent in the Almanac and the calendar is referred to as the 'Lunar Vision' for people to see.

 This crescent is a divine symbol that is worshiped by deities like Shiva, Parvati and Lord Ganesha.  Adults should see this as a reminder that the pastor can attain salvation through these three qualities of lust, laziness and dizziness.

 The Story of the Third Crescent:

 Chandran once lost all his sixteen arts due to Datsan's curse.  Moon meditated thinking of Shiva in order to regain his arts.  His twenty-seven star wives were deeply saddened by Chandra Bhagavan's demise due to Datsan's curse.  They immediately went to their father Datsun and asked him to absolve them of the curse.

 Datsuno said that due to his ignorance and curse, all his blessings were diminished and he could not absolve himself of the curse.  Eventually the 27 star wives and the moon repented in remembrance of Lord Shiva.  Lord Shiva, the remnant of the moon's meditation, received the ‘third pillar’ on his head.

 This crux emphasizes the idea that the full benefits can be achieved if you grow little by little while being active.  With this, we celebrate the eighty year olds as 'the one who saw a thousand crescents'.

 Benefits:

 Those who see the lunar vision on the third day following the new moon will have an increased memory.  The confusion will go away.  Eye sight is clear.  The third crescent that comes on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays is one of the most special.

 Especially in the months of Chittirai and Vaikasi, if you see this light, you will get the benefit of one year of lunar vision.  If you see the third crescent coming in the months of Karthika and Markazhi, all sins will be gone.

 Why not look at the fourth pillar?

 Lord Ganesha once visited the moon.  Ganesha was very angry with Chandran who mocked him when he saw Ganesha with pudding in his hand.  On Pillaiyar Chaturthi is different.  An angry Ganapati cursed, ‘Those who see you in Chaturthi will be in vain!’

 Remorseful, Chandrano apologized for the mistake he had made unknowingly and asked him to absolve him of the curse.  Ganesha forgave the moon, but said that only those who see the trinity will have full joy.

 How can you avoid the temptation to look at the fourth pillar?

 Let's look at a solution to this in ancient times.  Once Kannan was in vain when he saw the fourth pillar coming in the square.  To remedy this, he performed a lunar darshan on the third day following the new moon on the following Monday (next month) and prayed to Ganapati.

 The morning is Brahma Mukurtha.  The evening is Vishnu Mukurtha.  So, if you do lunar vision at that time and worship at home with lamps, wealth will increase.

 Married people can perform lunar darshan as a couple.  Unmarried people can visit the third floor with their parents.  Thus increasing family unity.
